Annie began practicing yoga ten years ago as an outlet to her rigorous basketball training schedule. Since then yoga has become a meaningful part of her life, helping her lead a more balanced and focused life.
After college, she completed a 200-hour teacher training at BambooMoves in NJ. Shortly after, Annie moved to Boston in 2010, where she began exploring the many great teachers the city has to offer. She is grateful for having stumbled into Barbara Benagh’s studio, who she recently studied with to complete 500-hour training.
Annie loves to draw teachings from a variety of yoga styles, but she has a particular interest in intentional structure and alignment. Off the mat, Annie enjoys cycling around Boston, swimming, cooking, and traveling.
Annie understands the physical tolls that daily life can have on one’s body and likes to mix more challenging poses with softers ones to form a balanced and restorative practice. Her goal in teaching is to make students more comfortable and at ease in their bodies.
She is passionate about continuing to learn about the art of body-mind movement and sharing the joy of yoga with others.
